Why Resolution Day Factory exists

It wasn't an initial ambition that created RDF, but a repeated frustration over ideas and objects abandoned for lack of a solution.

A simple observation at the origin of the project

Too many useful ideas remain unrealised, and too many working objects end up in the bin for a single missing or broken part. RDF was born from this observation, with the idea that on-demand manufacturing — 3D printing, machining, custom design — can address both situations at once.

A concrete approach rather than a militant message

RDF doesn't try to convince through a speech about planned obsolescence or ecology, but to offer a concrete alternative: repairing an object, making an unavailable part, or designing a product built to last from the start, project by project.

Frequently asked questions

Does RDF only work on eco-driven projects?

No, the approach applies to any repair, custom manufacturing, or object design project, whatever its motivation.
